Making a prank call is fun. Admit it. Getting one can suck, but making one is a blast.

But hard to do... A good one really does take some prep work, but can definitely be an enjoyable diversion, well worth the time. (Especially when you can record it and play back for your friends!)

Prank calling is a type of activity that actually becomes more enjoyable the greater your skill level becomes. As you graduate from an amateur to a pro prankster you will discover tricks and tools to make nearly all of your prank calls as funny as possible.

Because today's phones come with caller ID, you need to take extra steps to safeguard your identity. It is no fun to prank call someone who immediately identifies you as a prank caller. In order to improve your prank calling, try either dialing *76 to remove that information (where available by local service) or by using a call manipulator which will allow you to alter the way your information appears on their caller ID.

Target Many Victims

One mistake people often make is to call one person again and again. This is a rookie mistake. Once someone outs you in the call it is a very bad idea to keep calling them back. They are onto the joke and what you are really doing is harassing them.

Use Your Creativity

The key to a good prank call is your imagination. Prank calling when inspired can lead to the best results. My advice is to use your imagination to prolong the call by taking your target around all the twists and turns of the joke before arriving at the punchline.

Readington Middle School in New Jersey pulled a half-prank, half-protest recently that was more legal than you normally hear about. They simply paid for their lunches in Pennies one day, backing up the lunch line tremendously.

You wouldn't think that the administration at RMS would get away with sending them all to detention for two days... But they did! What a bad school to pull a prank in. :p

It all starts innocently enough when 'a new school' is opening near this southern homophobic father, and at first he seems impressed by the information that he receives about it. So he puts down his kids names, unknowing all the while that the "new school" is going to be gay and lesbian orientated. The father is disgusted, and chaos ensues. And boy does it ensue!

I bet he'd love to sue, too.
